Mangos are the fruits of numerous tropical trees belonging to the flowering plant genus Mangifera which actually belongs to the cashew family Anacardiaceae.
The fruit is native to South Asia from where it has been distributed worldwide to become one of the most cultivated fruits in the tropics.
